Twitter fleet is an ephemeral feature like Instagram and Facebook Story feed, which automatically disappears after 24 hours.
In a public post on Wednesday, Twitter officials announced that on 3 August it will remove its Fleets feature. Twitter promised to replace the feature with ” some better and new stuff”.

Fleets haven’t performed as expected!
Ilya Brown, Twitter’s vice president of product, made an explanatory statement. “But, in the time since we introduced Fleets to everyone, we haven’t seen an increase in the number of new people joining the conversation with Fleets like we hoped.”

Isn’t it too early?
Twitter fleets feature was created in June 2020,and was released for public use in November 2020. This decision feels a bit hasty because less than an year is too early to judge.
Final thoughts
While this may feel disappointing for some “fleet lovers” but something better is may be waiting for us.
